The members of various clubs took the stage and through their creative and dynamic presentations, each group unfolded its unique motto, core aims, and planned activities for the academic year 2026 -2027. It was indeed a spectacle to behold, reflecting the dedication and meticulous planning of both students and the staff in charge. Leaders on the March: Investiture Ceremony at Fatima Matric Hr. Sec. School, Kodambakkam In pursuit of orderliness, discipline, and responsible discipleship, Fatima Matric Higher Secondary School, Kodambakkam, celebrated its solemn Investiture Ceremony on June 12, 2026. The milestone event marked the official pinning of responsibilities on a dynamic group of young leaders, all geared up to become agents of change and promising trendsetters for the academic year 2026–2027. Along with the Chief Guest, Dr. Ezhilan Naganathan, MBBS., MD., a former Member of the Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly, the Correspondent, Principal, the newly elected students were grandly welcomed by the Guides of Fatima with guard of honour and the leaders majestically walked towards the stage to swear the oath to be the leaders of their respective groups. Bearing the School Flag, the senior and Junior School Pupil Leaders and Assistant School Pupil Leaders, Senior & Junior Games Captains, the four House Senior and Juniour Group Captains and Assistant Captains pledged to live by the School Motto: God & Country. His speech revolved around a powerful call to serve their peer students with compassion and dedication, emphasizing the vital importance of giving back to the society that shapes individuals into achievers. Accompanied by the school Correspondent, Rev. Sr. Antony Raj Christina, and the Principal, Sr. Jeyamani, the Chief Guest formally initiated the student officials into their roles of service. Shaping Tomorrow: Teachers Unite for a Transformative Orientation Program Embracing evolution and renewed strength, the educators of Fatima Mat. Hr. Sec. School, & Auxilium Academy (ICSE), and Our Lady’s Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Chetpet came together on May 29, 2026, for a dynamic, day-long Orientation Program. Designed to gear up faculty members for the upcoming 2026–2027 Academic year, the event paved a lucid pathway toward educational excellence. The session commenced with a warm, encouraging welcome by the Correspondent, Rev. Sr. Christina. The Resource person of the day Mrs. Meera Ranganathan, an eminent educationist and a staff trainer of Tata Educational Institutions and the chosen animator for the program , who meticulously guided the teachers through advanced, practical teaching strategies. The Pillars of Dedicated Mentorship The core message of the orientation was centered on fostering harmonious and highly responsive classrooms. The mantra for dedicated mentorship is to be deeply consistent in both personal beliefs and professional efforts. Mrs. Meera Ranganathan beautifully reminded the teachers that they are fundamentally "the builders of culture and relationships"—a sweet yet profound responsibility. To channelize this educational energy effectively, the program highlighted six foundational principles: • Developing strong social-emotional skills. • Refining the manner in which we teach. • Encouraging healthy social interaction. • Enhancing collaborative teamwork among faculty. • Deepening what we know and believe about our students. • Building active partnerships with families. Redefining Classroom Dynamics Moving beyond abstract theory, the seminar was driven to actionable, day-to-day classroom management techniques. Educators were encouraged to focus heavily on Positive Teacher Language and tone, interactive modeling, and enforcing logical consequences rather than standard punishments such as teaching a child how to fix something they accidentally broke. "The dignity of every individual child is to be upheld." The Resource Person also stressed the critical difference between Active learning and Activity-based learning, leaving the teachers with four life-long reminders to maintain an optimal learning environment: 1. Instill conscious discipline. 2. Display a visible learning outcome in teachers themselves. 3. Be entirely fearless in organizing. 4. Follow consistent routines to create a clear mental image of expectations for the students. The session came to a meaningful close with a gallery walk on the essentials learnt during the day.
