Investiture Ceremony – Higher Secondary

The first special and most important program for the year, the investiture ceremony was held on 15th June 2024. The program began with a prayer followed by the SPL Smriti Michael giving the welcome address, the leaders were then invested by Rev. Fr. Thomas Ilango, Chief guest – Parish priest, Fatima Church, Kodambakkam, our Correspondent Rev. Sr. Antonyraj Christina, principal Rev. Sr. Madalaimuthu Lidwin Mary. In a solemn ceremony the elected leaders took their oath for the school office and they were awarded their symbols of office. In his message to the leaders, Rev. Fr. Thomas Ilango spoke about Order, beauty and goodness, he told that girls are God itself. Women are powerful, therefore they are born to win.  He insisted that the leaders make use of all the opportunities given in school and prove themselves as excellent leaders. The program then ended with the vote of thanks by the Games Captain Jacklin Glory.

Investiture – Primary

On 15th June 2024, at 1.30 p.m it was the turn of the primary school office bearers to take the oath to the school office after the seniors. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Rev. Fr. Joseph Shaju, OMD, Assistant Parish Priest, Fatima Church, Kodambakkam, our correspondent Rev. Sr. Antonyraj Christina and Principal Rev. Sr. Madalaimuthu Lidwin Mary graced the occasion along with the Chief Guest.  After a short prayer service, primary SPL Helena Augusta welcomed the gathering, then the elected leaders took the oath to the office. In his presidential address Rev. Fr. Joseph Shaju spoke about Action, Initiative and inspiration that the leaders have to embody and mould themselves to be role models for others. The Games Captain Lakshana then gave the vote of thanks to end the successful installation of the leaders.

INAUGURATION OF CLUBS AND MOVEMENTS

The inauguration of Clubs and movements was held on the 28th of June 2024, in our Golden Jubilee Auditorium, Dr. Sr. Ananda Raj Jaya Shanthi, retired Principal of Auxillium College, Vellore was the chief guest for the day. The event started with the prayer and was followed by a welcome speech by Mrs. Stanley Peter Gertrude Leena. Each club then went on stage and presented about their Motto and action plan for this year. The following clubs showcased their talents on stage – prayer, NGC, JRC,YSM, Guides, bulbuls and bunnies, Young scientists movement, Dance, Music, Art and craft, Indoor games, Media, Marian, Human rights, Peace club and RSP.

All the students did their best in their performance.

The chief guest in her address, insisted on these points – to make oneself new through the activities of the clubs and movements so that the students will be able to build high self-esteem, avoid falling in stress and depression, improve their health through the physical activities of the clubs and movements. The program then ended with the vote of thanks and national anthem.

KAMARAJAR BIRTHDAY & EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY CELEBRATION

The birth day of our former chief minister Kamarajar which is also remembered as Educational Development Day, was celebrated on the 15th of July. Firstly, the welcome address was delivered by Deepika of standard XI. The principal and the staff paid their respects to the picture of Kamarajar which was followed by a Tamil speech about Kamarajar by Amudhini of standard IX, followed by a wonderful performance of the song “karma veerare” by the students of standards VI, VII.  That was followed by a meticulous drama performance by the students of standard IX. An essay competition on Kamarajar was conducted and the winners were awarded with gifts. Rev. Sr. Lidwin Mary, the principal of the school being the guest of honor for the day addressed the gathering in Tamil which was a great motivation for all the students. The vote of thanks was delivered by Indhuleka of standard XI and the program concluded with our national anthem. This occasion was organized by the department of Tamil in which the all took part sincerely.

66th  SPORTS DAY

Sports day of Fatima Mat Hr Sec School was held on 19.7.24 in Fatima school grounds. The chief guest of the occasion was Mr. Stephen Additional Deputy Commissioner, Central Crime Branch, Avadi. The guest of honour was Dr.Sridevi.S Psychologist and Behavioral coach. The day was off to a solemn start with a short prayer, the opening ceremony had everyone’s rapt attention at the end of which the sports meet was declared open, after which an array of drills were performed by the students of classes 6 to 12. Various games were conducted for the teachers, parents, past pupils and office staff. The winners were rewarded with gifts. In his address the Chief Guest laid emphasis on women empowerment through education, safety of women in the world of developing technology and how to keep themselves safe in cyber space. The Guest of honor in her address, stated how value education learnt at Fatima helped her to be an empathetic human. The day ended with the National anthem.

Pot painting Competition

Pot painting competition, held on 27.7.24, saw an enthusiastic participation of 158 students from classes 6 to 8. The theme, “Endangered Species,” inspired students to showcase their creativity and concern for the environment. The competition not only encouraged artistic expression but also raised awareness about the importance of conservation and protecting endangered species.

Media Club Seminar on Radio Broadcasting and film making

15 Students of Media Club accompanied by Mrs. John Kennedy Maria Shiny and Ms. Louis Ketzial participated in the seminar conducted at Loyola College on Radio Broadcasting and film making. The children learnt about the various technologies and techniques used in film making. They also had a session on Media Law and Ethics. The participants had a lively session in which they tried being Radio Jockey’s at the Loyola FM station.

The afternoon session was held at Our Lady’s School, Chetpet in the MM Hall. Sr. Rajendran Thimena Celine led the session, explaining the duties of the Media Club and how students should contribute.

State Level Wall painting competition for Scouts, Guides, Rangers and Rovers

Guides from the Fatima Matric. Hr. Sec. School represented Don Bosco District in the State level wall painting competition held at Bharat Scouts and Guides Headquarters, Chennai, they show cased their creative talents and had a good learning exposure at the same time. The students were accompanied by Mrs.Shoba Sunithal.

Annual INM FMA past pupil’s federation meet.

The past pupil federation meet was organized on 03.08.2024 at St. Joseph’s convent Arni. The meet commenced at 9.30 a.m Rev. Sr. Kanickaraj Mary Tamilzharasi and an introductory talk by Rev.Sr.Ambrose Jayaseeli, the counsellor and she launched her 6th book ” Pasumai Pengal,  presentations on “Dreams of Don Bosco “, and “Jubilee year Pilgrims of pope” were given, followed by a group discussion. 10 teachers from Fatima MHSS participated and benefitted from this meeting.

Seminar on Human Rights

Human Rights seminar  was organized by Salesian Sisters, Mazzarello Convent  on 3.8.24 in Our Lady’s Matriculation Chetpet, from 9.00 a.m to 4.00 p.m. 20 students from Fatima Matriculation  Kodambakkam accompanied by Mrs. Benjamin Esther Beulah Anusha, Ms. Anbazhagan Lakshmi Priya participated in this program. The seminar dealt with the following topics:

  • The  basic  responsibilities one has to, adhere to, for a healthy environment.
  • Child Rights and Child Protection.
  • Challenges faced by Children in home, Schools and Communities
  • Gender equality, sympathy and empathy.

Fancy dress and clay modelling competition

The Fancy Dress Competition for classes 1 and 2  and clay modelling for classes 3 to 5 was held on August 6th, 2024, at M.M. Hall. Around 45 children participated in the fancy dress competition. Each child proudly represented a different state of India, showcasing its traditional attire. Every participant was given 2 minutes to present themselves. In the Clay modelling Competition 100 children participated, showcasing their talents.

Craft Competition

The Craft competition held on August 13, 2024, for students from classes I to V centered around the theme of Independence, showcased a remarkable display of enthusiasm and creativity from the young participants. The Craft competition was a successful and engaging event that allowed students to explore and express their understanding of independence through art. It was a celebration of their creativity and a meaningful way to connect with their national heritage.

Drawing Competition

On August 13, 2024, a Drawing competition was held for students in Classes VI to IX with the theme of “Secularism.” This event provided a platform for students to artistically explore and represent the concept of secularism—emphasizing unity and the principle of treating every religion equally. The Drawing competition was a meaningful event that allowed students to creatively explore and present the concept of secularism. It was an opportunity for them to showcase their artistic talents while engaging with an important social theme.

Inter-House Cultural Competition


On August 14, 2024, the four houses—Green, Yellow, Blue, and Red—brought a vibrant burst of patriotism and creativity to the stage, competing in Singing, Dancing, and Skit categories. With Independence Day as the theme, the students embraced the occasion with great enthusiasm, pouring their hearts into every performance. Their dedication and spirit made the event a memorable celebration of national pride, highlighting their talents and deepening their connection to the meaning of Independence Day.

78th Independence Day Celebration

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated energetically on August 15, 2024, at the Fatima School Campus. Rev. Sr. Putti Viagula Mary hoisted the National Flag and presided over the function. Students delivered memorable performances, including speeches, singing, and dancing. It was a day to honor and remember our Freedom Fighters.

Independence Day Parade

Twenty guides from Fatima participated in The Bharat Scouts and Guides Independence Day parade at Triplicane, Chennai. The parade salute was accepted by Honorable Education Minister Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi. The students were accompanied by Mrs. Shoba Sunithal.

Leaders Day

The Kindergarten children enthusiastically participated in the Leaders’ Day program, showcasing their creativity and imagination. Twenty-two students from LKG and UKG dressed up as renowned leaders, delivered a brief speech about the leader they portrayed, demonstrating their understanding and admiration for these iconic figures. The event was filled with fun and enjoyment, creating a memorable experience for all participants.

Educational Tour to Seashell Museum

105 students of Class 12 accompanied by Principal Rev. Sr.Lidwin Mary and four teachers visited India Seashell Museum, on 16th August 2024. It was a great day of enjoyment and learning. The students got an opportunity to learn and view the various types of seashells, minerals, dinosaurs and fish. The students then visited the five rathas at Mahabalipuram. On the whole it was a day of fun and learning.

Heera Pankh Testing Camp

A Heerak Pankh testing camp for Bulbuls was organized by Don Bosco District at Our Lady’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chetpet. Around 150 students from six schools participated, including six from our school, accompanied by Ms.  Louis Ketzial. The Bulbuls were assessed on their Pravesh portions, which included the promise, law, motto, and theory. A written test, observation games, and a practical knot-tying session featuring the reef knot, sheet bend knot, and clove hitch knot was also conducted.    The children created slogans on safety rules, answered questions from the Tara story, and performed a skit on traffic rules. The program was an enriching one for the young bulbuls.

MARIAN DAY

To honor the Blessed Virgin Mary and foster devotion, Catholic students celebrated Marian Day on August 22nd. The event featured songs in praise of Mother Mary, skits, devotional dances, and a parade showcasing various depictions of her. Students from Auxilium Academy also participated in this special celebration. It was a memorable occasion, with the children engaging in the festivities with great reverence. Rev. Sr. Maria Selvam served as the Chief Guest, and our Principal, Rev. Sr. Lidwin Mary, graced the event with her presence.

EDUCATIONAL TOUR – CLASSES 1, 2 AND 3

On August 23, 2024, students from Grades 1 to 3, along with Principal Rev. Sr. Lidwin Mary and nine teachers, embarked on an educational tour to Guindy National Park. The outing was designed to introduce the young students to wildlife and nature conservation. The children had the opportunity to observe a variety of animals up close, enjoyed a nature walk, and learned fascinating facts about animals, birds, reptiles, and plants.

GUIDES, BULBULS AND BUNNIES INVESTITURE

The investiture ceremony for the guides, bulbuls, and bunnies for the academic year took place on August 27th on our school grounds. The Chief Guest for the occasion was our Correspondent, Rev. Sr. Antony Christina. During the ceremony, the bunnies, bulbuls, and guides made their promises and were then presented with scarves and badges by both the Correspondent and our Principal, Rev. Sr. Lidwin Mary

BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION

Best out of waste competition was conducted on 28th August in MM Hall. Students from Class 5 to 9 participated in this event enthusiastically, displaying their creative talents.

TEACHERS’ DAY, RETIREMENT AND SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATION

6th September 2024 was a day to cherish in Fatima, as there was a triple celebration. The day marked the retirement of Mr. Sigamani, Provincial House, Driver, the Silver Jubilee of Mr. Sekar, School Driver and Teachers’ Day. The day marked an array of cultural events showcasing the talents of the pupils of Fatima Matriculation School and the students of Auxilium Academy.

EC MEET

The first Educating Community Meeting for the academic year 2024-2025 was held on 13th September 2024. The meeting was headed by our Correspondent Rev. Sr. Antonyraj Christina and Principal Rev. Sr. Lidwin Mary. 10 parents and 6 teachers attended this meet. Our Correspondent discussed the feedback given after the first school inspection, followed by a discussion on the use of the School app, following which suggestions were given by parents to reduce the burden of homework given to the children, conduction of tests and improvement of oral skills in children.

YCS-YSM INVESTITURE CEREMONY

The Youth Catholic Services (YCS) / Youth Students Movement (YSM) event was held on September 14, 2024, at M.M. Hall. Rev. Fr. Ronald Richard, the Secretary of the Youth Commission and Chief Guest for the day, presented YSM scarves to 44 students and 2 staff members from Fatima Matriculation H.S.S. Our Principal, Rev. Sr. Lidwin Mary, awarded the members with YSM badges. Following the presentations, all newly invested members took a solemn oath to fulfill their duties and responsibilities for the betterment of the Movement and the community.

ORIENTATION FOR 11TH AND 12TH STUDENTS

An orientation program for higher secondary students took place on September 14th at 10:30 a.m. The resource person for the day, Rev. Fr. Daniel, provided an in-depth discussion on the characteristics of various generations. He also guided students on identifying their own talents and shared strategies for achieving their goals. The session was made engaging with a variety of fun-filled activities, making it an enriching experience for all involved.

HINDI HANDWRITING COMPETITION

The students from Class I to VIII actively took part in the Hindi Handwriting Competition organized by the Tamilnadu Hindi Prachar Sabha in honor of Gandhi Jayanthi. They eagerly showcased their handwriting skills in Hindi, their third language.

SCHOOL REOPENS FOR THE SECOND TERM

Fatima School reopened after their Term I holidays on October 7, 2024. As students returned to the vibrant halls of the school, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and anticipation. The Principal warmly welcomed everyone back, emphasizing the importance of a fresh start for Term II.

ECO FEST OPENING

The NGC Club and the Peace Club enthusiastically kicked off their ECO Fest on October 7, 2024. This week-long celebration aims to promote environmental awareness and engage students in various activities designed to foster a sense of responsibility towards the planet.

The opening ceremony was filled with excitement, featuring speeches from club leaders who emphasized the importance of protecting the environment for future generations. They shared inspiring stories of environmental activism and encouraged students to take action in their daily lives.

The ECO Fest aims not only to educate students about environmental issues but also to inspire them to become active participants in the fight for a sustainable future. By engaging in these activities, students will learn valuable lessons about teamwork, creativity, and the importance of taking care of our planet. The event promises to be both fun and impactful, leaving a lasting impression on the entire school community.

DICTATION COMPETITION

A Dictation competition was held on October 7, 2024, featuring enthusiastic participants from classes I to V. Students showcased their language skills in both English and Tamil, providing a vibrant platform for them to express their proficiency and love for their respective languages.

WELCOMING OUR VISITING COUNSELLOR FOR FORMATION

The Fatima School and Auxilium Academy warmly welcomed visiting counselors Sr. Moraes de Nilza Fatima and Sr. Anel Freeda for their formation session. The event commenced with a welcoming speech from our Correspondent and Vice Provincial of Chennai, Sr. Christina. Our Mother Provincial, Sr. Margaret Devadoss, honored the guests with a special felicitation. Students from both schools greeted the visitors with a welcome song and a dance performance. The program concluded with a closing address by the school SPL, Smriti Micheal, followed by the school anthem.

PTA AND OPEN DAY FOR ALL THE CLASSES

An open day and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting were organized for all classes from I to XII following the quarterly exams. This event aimed to strengthen the connection between parents and the school while providing valuable insights into their children’s academic progress.

The meeting commenced with Mrs. Badma, who addressed the parents and shared important information about student psychology. She emphasized the various developmental stages students go through and how these affect their learning and behavior. Her insights helped parents understand their children’s needs and challenges better.

Following this informative session, parents were escorted to their children’s respective classrooms. Here, they had the opportunity to engage with teachers and discuss individual student performance. Each parent received their child’s exam papers and progress report cards, allowing them to review academic achievements and areas for improvement.

ECO FEST- COOKING WITHOUT FIRE

To enrich the Eco Fest, the NGC Club organized a variety of competitions, including a “Cooking Without Fire” event for students in classes VI to IX. Each class was assigned a unique theme: Class VI prepared delicious fruit salads, Class VII focused on creating vibrant vegetable salads, Class VIII showcased their culinary skills by cooking with sprouts, and Class IX crafted innovative sandwiches without using any heat.

The students participated with great enthusiasm, demonstrating their creativity and cooking talents. This engaging activity not only encouraged teamwork and healthy eating habits but also highlighted the importance of sustainability and eco-friendly practices in the kitchen. The event was a delightful success, showcasing the students’ skills and fostering a sense of community within the school.

Rosary Month Special Prayer

As part of Fatima School’s cherished tradition during the month dedicated to the Rosary, the school honors Mother Mary by conducting special prayers throughout the month. Each day, every class participates by holding Bible readings, offering special prayers, and sharing intentions. This collective devotion not only deepens the students’ spiritual connection but also fosters a sense of community and reflection within the school. Through these meaningful activities, students are encouraged to embrace the values of faith and gratitude, strengthening their relationship with Mother Mary and enriching their spiritual lives.

ECO FEST- DRAWING AND BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION

The primary students of Fatima School enthusiastically participated in the Drawing and Best Out of Waste competitions held in conjunction with the Eco Fest. For classes I to III, the theme centered on “Saving Mother Earth,” inspiring students to express their creativity through art. Meanwhile, classes IV and V focused on the theme “Say No to Plastics,” encouraging them to repurpose materials and create innovative projects from waste.

The vibrant participation showcased the students’ artistic talents and commitment to environmental awareness. This event not only fostered creativity but also educated the young participants about the importance of sustainability and caring for the planet. Overall, it was a delightful celebration of art and environmental stewardship!

SCIENCE EXHIBITION

The students from Classes IV to X actively participated in the Science Exhibition 2024 with great enthusiasm. They showcased a wide range of both working and non-working models, covering diverse scientific concepts and real-world applications. From innovative solutions for sustainable energy to creative demonstrations of scientific principles, each model reflected the students’ curiosity and dedication to learning. The working models allowed visitors to see dynamic processes in action, while the non-working models effectively represented complex ideas in a simplified, visual format. The exhibition provided a fantastic platform for students to display their knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills, leaving both teachers and attendees impressed with their efforts.

DIWALI CELEBRATION

Fatima School’s Diwali celebration was a lively event that united students, teachers. It began with a prayer, setting a peaceful tone. Speeches highlighted the festival’s themes, such as the victory of light over darkness and the importance of community.

Students showcased their talents through vibrant songs and dances that filled the atmosphere with joy. The celebration beautifully blended cultural expression and community spirit, making it a memorable occasion for everyone involved.

GRATITUDE DAY-09.11.2024

On November 9th, 2024, Fatima School celebrated Gratitude Day, a special occasion to thank the entire school community. Students expressed their appreciation through songs, dance, and heartfelt words of thanks.

The event featured an inspiring speech by the school’s correspondent, Rev. Sr. Christina, who shared her wisdom on the importance of gratitude. The celebration ended on a positive note, leaving everyone with a sense of unity and thankfulness in their hearts.

CHILDREN’S DAY-14.11.2024

The Fatima School celebrated Children’s Day on 14th November 2024 with great enthusiasm and joy. The students wore colorful dresses, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. The Sisters, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff, put together a variety of performances, including a skit, singing, and dancing, which entertained everyone present. Following these activities, the students actively participated in a quiz program organized by the coordinators. The winners of the competition were awarded special prizes, adding an extra layer of excitement to the celebration. It was a day filled with fun, learning, and togetherness, making it a memorable event for all.

PROVINCIAL VIST 2024-21.11.2024

The staff and students of Fatima School warmly welcomed the Provincial, Rev. Sr. Margaret, during her annual visit to the school. To greet her, the students offered a heartfelt prayer, performed a lively dance, and presented a detailed introduction about the school, showcasing their enthusiasm and respect. Following this, the Provincial delivered an inspiring talk on the importance of following one’s dreams and never giving up. Her words motivated everyone to stay focused on their goals and face challenges with determination. It was a meaningful and uplifting visit that left a lasting impression on both students and staff.

ORANGE DAY-19.11.2024

Orange Day was inaugurated at Fatima School on November 19,2024 to raise awareness among students about the issue of abuse against women and children. The Human rights clubs members and staff from ARUWYE, representing the Human Resource Development Centre, performed a traditional skit to highlight the importance of this cause and educate the students about the harmful effects of abuse. In support of the initiative, the students wore orange ribbons and brought orange-colored snacks, symbolizing their commitment to spreading awareness and standing against abuse. The event was an impactful and meaningful way to engage the students in promoting a safer and more compassionate society.

CONSTITUTION DAY-26.11.2024

Constitution Day, also known as “National Law Day,” is celebrated in India on the 26th of November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. At Fatima School, the members of the Human Rights Club, along with the social science teachers, inaugurated the event. The students gathered to solemnly pledge the preamble of the Indian Constitution, reaffirming their commitment to the principles of justice, equality, and liberty. Later, the students participated in a rally within the school campus, proudly displaying their enthusiasm for the values enshrined in the Constitution. The event was a meaningful observance, promoting awareness and respect for India’s constitutional rights.

CAROL COMPETITIONS

The students of Fatima School showcased their musical talents by participating in a series of carol competitions held at Dominic Savio School, Santhome, and Don Bosco, Egmore.The competition provided a wonderful experience for the children, fostering their musical talents and team spirit while celebrating the true essence of Christmas.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION – 14.12.2024

The much-anticipated Christmas celebration took place on December 14th, with Rev. Fr. Satish Paul, sdb, as the Chief Guest. The event began with a prayer by Class 11, followed by carols from Classes KG and 6-9. Class X presented a live crib, and primary students performed a lively Christmas song medley. In his message, Rev. Fr. Satish Paul spoke about Christmas as a celebration of God becoming human and the lessons of humility, humanity, and happiness it teaches. He emphasized that by embracing these qualities, we become holy. Our Principal, Rev. Sr. Lidwin Mary, wished the students and distributed cakes to all.

III TERM REOPENING-02.01.2025

The New Year 2025 brought with it the new and final term for this academic year. The day began with a prayer service animated by the students of Green house under the guidance of the teachers of that house. A short prayer service thanking the Lord for the past year and seeking His blessings for the forthcoming year was conducted.  Our Correspondent Rev. Sr. Antonyraj Christina in her address wished everyone and insisted that everyone should make use of the opportunities given to them, she said that with prayer, patience and hope one can achieve all things. Our Principal Rev. Sr. Madalaimuthu Mary, then wished the students and gave instructions for the week ahead.

PONGAL CELEBRATION -13.01.2025

The Pongal celebration was held with great enthusiasm, marking the harvest festival. Students from various classes performed traditional dances and sang folk songs. A special prayer service was conducted to thank the sun, rain, and nature for a good harvest. The event concluded with distribution of sweets among the students.

FEAST OF BL. LAURA VICUNA(22.01.2025)

The Feast of Blessed Laura Vicuna was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at the Fatima campus. The event was organized by the catechism students and teachers of Classes 6 to 8. They performed a skit that beautifully depicted the life and virtues of Blessed Laura, highlighting her devotion and selflessness. The students’ performance was both inspiring and heartfelt, making the celebration truly special. The event served as a reminder of Blessed Laura’s example of faith, courage, and love for others.

66th ANNUAL DAY-25.01.2025

The 66th Annual Day was celebrated on 25th January 2025 with great enthusiasm and grandeur. Dr. S. Alphred Devaprasad, Ph.D., CEO and Correspondent of Christwood School, graced the occasion as the distinguished chief guest. The event began with a beautiful prayer dance, setting a serene and spiritual tone for the day. Following the dance, the welcome address was delivered, and then the Principal, Rev. Sr. Lidwin Mary, presented the annual report, reflecting on the school’s achievements and growth over the past year.

The students then took center stage with a captivating theme-based presentation that showcased their creativity and talents. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony, where students were recognized for their outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements. The event came to a close with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging everyone’s contributions to the success of the day, and was wrapped up with the National Anthem. PAST PUPIL ENROLMENT-28.01.2025

A special Holy Mass was organized for the 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students who are preparing for their upcoming board exams. The Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Satish Paul SDB, who offered words of encouragement and hope, focusing on this year’s theme, Hope. He reminded the students that with faith and determination, they could overcome any challenges that lay ahead. After the Mass, the students were officially enrolled in the Past Pupil Alumni, marking an important step in maintaining their connection with the school. Rev. Sr. Christina Anto, our correspondent, took the opportunity to highlight the importance of this enrollment, stressing that it offers a lasting bond with the school community and continued support even after graduation. The event was not only a spiritual boost but also an encouragement for the students to stay united as they face the challenges of their future.

KG AND PRIMARY SPORTS DAY- 31.01.2025

The 66th Sports Day for the Primary and KG sections was celebrated on the feast of St. John Bosco, the founder of all Salesian Institutions, making the event even more special. Dr. Sr. Margaret Devadoss FMA, Mother Provincial of INM Chennai, was the esteemed chief guest for the occasion. The event kicked off with a Guard of Honour presented by the Fatima Guide Company, setting an impressive tone for the day. The chief guest then officially declared the sports meet open, marking the beginning of the exciting activities.

The students displayed remarkable enthusiasm as they participated in the march past and various class drills, showcasing their teamwork, discipline, and school spirit. The highlight of the day was the prize distribution ceremony, where students were recognized for their outstanding performances in various events. The Sports Day was a true reflection of the energy, dedication, and hard work of both the students and teachers, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

ABOLITION OF BONDED LABOUR-07.02.2025

The Tamil Nadu government has announced that February 9th will be observed as Abolition of Bonded Labour System. In commemoration of this all the students of our school took an oath, on 7th February at 11.00 a.m., to help prevent bonded labour.

VALEDICTORY 20.02.2025

The valedictory function, held on 19th February 2025, marked the conclusion of the leaders’ tenure. During the event, the leaders expressed their gratitude to the Management and Staff for the opportunity to serve, and handed over their symbols of office—the scarves and badges—to the Correspondent, Rev. Sr. Christina, and Principal, Rev. Sr. Lidwin Mary. In turn, the Correspondent and Principal extended their heartfelt thanks to the leaders, especially the outgoing Class 12 students, and wished them the best in their future endeavors.

FAREWELL 21.02.2025

The much-anticipated farewell for the outgoing Class 12 batch was held on 21st February. The students of Class 11 organized the event, presenting a variety of cultural programs and games. Each outgoing student was presented with a gift. Our Correspondent, Rev. Sr. Christina, and Principal, Rev. Sr. Lidwin Mary, offered their best wishes and blessings to the students as they embarked on their next journey.

NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY – 28.02.2025

Fatima School celebrated National Science Day on 28th February 2025 with a series of engaging and educational activities. The event began with a captivating mono act in which students portrayed various renowned scientists, each explaining their contributions to science and shedding light on the significance of the day. They specifically focused on the Raman Effect, discussing its importance in the field of physics and its lasting impact on modern science.

Following the mono act, the students performed a song dedicated to National Science Day, which added a cheerful and festive touch to the celebration. The atmosphere became even more lively when the students presented a skit on time travel, creatively exploring the concept and sparking curiosity about the possibilities of the future.

To wrap up the event, a thought-provoking speech on Artificial Intelligence (AI) was delivered, showcasing how AI is transforming industries and our daily lives. The speech emphasized the role of AI in scientific advancements, offering a glimpse into the future of technology and innovation. The entire celebration was a blend of creativity and learning, inspiring students to think critically about the world of science.

KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION- 28.02.2025

The Upper Kindergarten graduation ceremony was held with remarkable grandeur, marking a special milestone for the young graduates. The esteemed Mrs. P. Thenmozhi, Joint Secretary of the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, honored the occasion by gracing the event as the Chief Guest. Her presence added a sense of pride and prestige to the ceremony.

The event kicked off with a formal Guard of Honour, paying tribute to the Chief Guest, followed by a beautifully performed Prayer Song by the UKG class, which set a serene and celebratory tone for the occasion. The students of Standard II then took the stage to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to all the parents, teachers, and guests in attendance, making everyone feel special and appreciated.

The atmosphere was further enlivened by the lively and colorful dance performances presented by the LKG students and the students from Standard V. Their graceful and energetic performances captivated the audience and showcased the talent and enthusiasm of the younger students. As the ceremony progressed, the UKG graduates took center stage. Dressed in their graduation gowns and caps, they proudly marched towards the stage, where they were each presented with their graduation certificates. It was a touching and emotional moment, symbolizing the hard work, growth, and achievements of the young learners.

In addition to the graduation certificates, various prizes were awarded to students who had excelled in different events throughout the academic year. These awards recognized the dedication and talent of the students in various activities and disciplines, adding a celebratory touch to the day. The event concluded on a heartwarming note, with the graduates singing a Thank You Song, expressing gratitude to their teachers, parents, and peers for their support and encouragement throughout their journey.
